Directions to Glenn Field
("The Recreation Field")
From Poplar Springs:
- Pass HHS and turn right onto Post Oak Rd.
- Take immediate left to get back onto Poplar Springs Rd.
- Turn left onto Burning Bush Rd and then right onto Alexander Bridge Rd (just before Burning Bush Baptist)
- Travel several miles, crossing one-way bridge (be cautious).
- After entering the park, turn left onto Brotherton Rd.
- Turn right onto Hwy 27 and then left onto Dyers Rd (by cabin)
- Turn left onto Chickamauga-Vittetoe Rd. (no sign...where horse trailers park)
- 1/2 mile to Rec Field...Once you reach intersection, you'll see the field to your left.
- If you pass Wilder's Tower, you've gone too far.
From Boynton Dr:
- After entering park, turn left onto Jays Mill Rd.
- Turn right on Brotherton Rd.
- Continue on Brotherton, until it intersects Hwy 27 (You will cross Alexander Bridge Rd, but don't turn yet)
- Turn right onto Hwy 27 and then left onto Dyers Rd (by cabin)
- Turn left onto Chickamauga-Vittatoe Rd. (no sign...where horse trailers park)
- 1/2 mile to Rec Field
- Travel down Boynton Dr., until you reach the intersection with Hwy 27.
- Turn LEFT onto Hwy 27
- After traveling several miles, look for a cabin on the right.
- Turn right onto Dyers Rd (just before cabin)
- Continue straight at first intersection
- After you cross the hill, turn left onto Chickamauga-Vittetoe Rd. (where horse trailers park)
- 1/2 mile to Rec. Field...will see parking area to the left.
